The Historic Zinn Park
Anniston Alabama is a city in the state of Alabama. The population of Anniston is about 23,000 people. The size of Anniston’s city limits is about 27 square miles. The climate in Anniston is temperate with hot summers and mild winters.
Anniston was founded in 1872 as a railroad town. Anniston became a city in 1883. Anniston was the site of an important battle during the American Civil War. Anniston is home to two colleges, Jacksonville State University and Calhoun Community College. Anniston is also home to a military base, Anniston Army Depot.
Zinn Park is a beautiful park located in the heart of Anniston, Alabama. It’s a great place for a family picnic, a leisurely walk, or just to relax and enjoy the scenery. Zinn Park was created in honor of Dr. Howard Zinn, an author and historian who dedicated his life to promoting peace and social justice. There are plenty of benches and tables for visitors to use, and the park is also home to a playground, a duck pond, and several walking trails. Zinn Park is open from sunrise to sunset, and admission is free. So if you’re looking for a beautiful place to spend a few hours, be sure to check out Zinn Park in Anniston. Dr. Howard Zinn was born in 1922 in New York City. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and after the war he became a professor of history at Boston University. Zinn was a prolific author, and his most famous work is A People’s History of the United States, which has been used in schools across the country. Zinn was a lifelong advocate for peace and social justice, and he spent his life fighting for the rights of the underprivileged. He passed away in 2010, but his legacy lives on in Zinn Park, a beautiful park in Anniston, Alabama that was created in his honor. Zinn Park is a great place to visit, and it’s a wonderful reminder of the remarkable man Dr. Howard Zinn was.
