The Historic Municipal Park
Municipal Park is located in Opelika, Alabama. It offers a variety of amenities for visitors, including a playground, picnic area, walking trails, and a pond. The Municipal Park is also home to the Fourth of July Celebration. This event celebrates our nation’s independence with food, music, and fireworks. The event usually takes place on the Saturday before or after the Fourth of July holiday.
Municipal Park is a great place to spend a day outdoors. There is something for everyone to enjoy, whether it’s playing on the playground, picnicking in the park, or walking on the trails. I highly recommend visiting Municipal Park if you’re ever in the Opelika area.
Other events held in the Opelika Municipal Park are the Christmas Tree Lighting, the Movie in the Park, and the Fall Festival.
The Christmas Tree Lighting in Opelika Municipal Park is one of the most beautiful and festive events of the year. The event usually takes place on the first Saturday in December. The Municipal Park is decorated with lights and there is a large Christmas tree in the center of the park. Santa Claus makes an appearance and there is usually hot chocolate and cookies available for visitors.
The Movie in the Park is a summer event that is held in Municipal Park. It’s a great way to spend an evening with family and friends. The movie starts at dusk and there is usually food available for purchase.
The Fall Festival is another fun event that takes place in Municipal Park. This event celebrates the fall season with games, music, and food. The Fall Festival is usually held on the last Saturday in October. Municipal Park is a great place to spend time with loved ones, and there is always something going on. I highly recommend visiting Municipal Park if you’re ever in the Opelika area!
