Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve & Nature Centre is a nature preserve and centre located in Opelika, Alabama. The Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve & Nature Centre offers a variety of programs and activities for the public to enjoy, including hiking, picnicking, camping, fishing, and bird watching. The Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve & Nature Centre is open from dawn to dusk, and admission is free.

The Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve & Nature Centre was created in honor of Louise Kreher, who was a longtime environmental advocate and educator in east Alabama. Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve & Nature Centre features more than 432 acres of forest, wetlands, and meadows, which provide a home for a variety of plant and animal species. Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve & Nature Centre is also home to the Louise Kreher Tree House, which was built in 2006 with donations from the community. The Louise Kreher Tree House is a two-story tree house that offers visitors a view of the nature preserve below.

Louise Kreher is  a graduate of Auburn University and has a degree in Home Economics. Louise Kreher was born on a family farm in east Alabama, which is where she developed her love of nature and the environment. Louise Kreher began her career as an environmental educator in the late 1960s, when she taught classes on nature and ecology to schoolchildren in east Alabama.
